hotComm CL for Moderators
As a Moderator of an online multi-media hotMeeting, you can control the session and show webcam video in addition to using any feature available to Presenters and Guests. There may be up to 5 Moderators in a meeting.
Your Moderator features are enabled by the password you enter when you join the meeting. These features are:
- A Session Control Toolbar that allows you to take control of the Session. Control whether guests can type, send you private messages, push content. Decide When they can speak, how many at
a time, and most importantly be able to Bounce or Block anyone from your meeting. See How to Moderate a Session
Note that Moderators can control Guests' microphones and other features in order to prevent interruptions in the presentations, but they cannot control Presenters' features.
The Moderator password also enables the Presenter features, which are:
- hotCam digital camera for content presentation. Send either a single snapshot of any dialog on your desktop -- or send a rapid series of incremental snapshots of ANY application or window to show dynamic content. See How to give hotCam Presentations.
- Free-floating hotPointer to illustrate your comments.
- hotWeb toolbar that allows you to send all participants to specific web pages for co-browsing. See How to give hotWeb Web Tours.
- and our WebCam support to push crisp 320 x 240 video to your astounded guests. See How to use WebCam.

Checking Audio
Please check your audio before the meeting starts, to ensure that your hotComm is configured correctly for hotComm's TrueSpeech voice-over-IP technology. Also take this opportunity to set your speaker and microphone volume.
To check audio, right-click the hotComm icon in the lowest right corner of your entire screen and select Change Identity. Then click Test Sound.
Our audio test site is accessible at Audio test site. The password is: TEST.
If you have any problems, see the "I can't hear anyone" article in the 1stWorks Support website.
