hotComm CL for Presenters
As a Presenter in an online multi-media hotMeeting, you present visual content as well as communicate with other participants using voice and text chat.
Your Presenter features are enabled by the password you enter when you join the meeting. These features are:
- hotCam digital camera for content presentation. Send either a single snapshot of any dialog on your desktop -- or send a rapid series of incremental snapshots of ANY application or window to show dynamic content. See How to give hotCam Presentations.
- Free-floating hotPointer to illustrate your comments.
- hotWeb toolbar that allows you to send all participants to specific web pages for co-browsing. See How to give hotWeb Web Tours.
- and our WebCam support to push crisp 320 x 240 video to your astounded guests. See How to use WebCam.
Note that Moderators can control Guests' microphones and other features in order to prevent interruptions in the presentations, but they cannot control Presenters' features.
How to join a meeting
- Download, install and start hotComm CL.
- Enter an Identity, the name that displays in the meeting Invited List.
- Click a special weblink that the meeting organizer gives you.
- Enter the password you're given.
...and you're there. See Getting Started and Walkthru.
Moderators and Presenters must use hotComm CL. Guests may use hotComm CL or the more limited Browser Client.
Checking Audio
Please check your audio before the meeting starts, to ensure that your hotComm is configured correctly for hotComm's TrueSpeech voice-over-IP technology. Also take this opportunity to set your speaker and microphone volume.
To check audio, right-click the hotComm icon in the lowest right corner of your entire screen and select Change Identity. Then click Test Sound.
Our audio test site is accessible at Audio test site. The password is: TEST.
If you have any problems, see the "I can't hear anyone" article in the 1stWorks Support website.
