For Release: November 10, 2004
1stWorks introduces hotComm 5.0, featuring a new and powerful session record feature which can capture the entire multimedia presentation experience for archiving and for local replay, as well as for subsequent integration into interactive hotComm sessions on a subject and segment basis.

Norfolk, MA, November 10, 2004 - 1stWorks Corporation today announced the release of hotComm 5.0, the latest update in its sequence of improvements to hotComm, feature rich desktop software for secure, spontaneous and scalable multimedia collaboration, conferencing and content delivery.

hotComm 5.0 now features Session Record and Replay in the Standard and Professional range, with local Replay supported in the hotComm Lite and hotComm CL clients. With hotComm Standard and Professional 5.0, users simply select the media options that they want to record in the Session from audio, pointer, text, web cam and timed camera (for charts and applications) and then click the Record button to begin recording. Recorded files are saved in the user's T'scripts folder, and previously recorded content can be integrated into future live sessions by simply dragging the files into the active session for emphasis and discussion. Using this powerful feature, corporations will be able to leverage pre-recorded content modules using the best presenters, product and corporate specialists for the most effective user experience and then incorporate these modules into active presentation sessions, both for the power of the performance and for the consistency of the message.

Recorded content can also be distributed as files outside an active session and this provides for local retention and replay for hotComm lite and hotComm CL users for content reinforcement.

These powerful features will have a dramatic impact on the effectiveness of corporate training and distance learning by combining the interactivity and dynamism of a real time learning and presentation environment with selective recorded content representing the best available material in any discipline.

To enable the thorough evaluation of Session Record and Replay by currently licensed customers, 1stWorks has added a 1-month hotComm Standard license option for those customers who want to experience the power of Session Recording and Replay without a more significant investment. 1stWorks is also introducing selective price adjustments to reflect the many improvements which have been incorporated in hotComm during the past year, however the effective date of these price adjustments will be deferred until December 1, 2004 so our customers will have the opportunity to purchase, or renew, their licenses at the current pricing until that date.
