Empower your Product Support and Help Desk Engineers with the latest in virtual application technology. In less time than it would normally take to contact your customer and have them explain the problem, hotComm 2.0 Support Pro will help your support staff find, diagnose and the repair the problem.
Sudbury MA, January 9, 2003 - 1stWorks Corporation, today released hotComm 2.0 Support Pro extending hotComm's rich multimedia capabilities beyond secure messaging, collaboration and video conferencing to deliver Remote Control on any PC desktop through a dynamically injected Java application. No software to download or license fees to deal with. Your customer's Internet browser instantly becomes your Support staff's window to the problem. Based on the latest Java technology, seamless and secure connectivity between your Support staff and your customers' PC is as simple as clicking on a mouse. hotComm’s injectable Java client is a "run once" technology that automatically terminates when the Support session ends. Unlike products that require Active X or an installed executable, there is never any hotComm code left behind. Additionally, since all hotComm connections are fully encrypted the potential risk to your customers PC from a subsequent security breach is virtually impossible
hotComm's injectable Java option is a self-extracting pre-compressed downloadable file, which allows for efficient transfer and execution. Since the Java client is a true "run once" technology, unlike Active X, the hotComm injectable Java will not leave your PC open to hackers. Your Support staff automatically launches HotComm's injectable Java during a secure hotComm session. Customers must then grant permission in order to allow system control to take place. Your Engineers can inspect files, download drivers, change configurations, whatever is necessary to solve the customer’s problem - quickly, efficiently and cost effectively.
hotComm 2.0 Support Pro will help your support staff find, diagnose and the repair the problem. While in that same session, your Support staff can inspect, upgrade and make recommendations on how to keep that system at the optimum level of performance. If a tutorial is needed, the collaboration tools included with Support Pro will facilitate on-line learning and instruction.
hotComm 2.0 Support Pro includes keyboard chat, voice, full motion video, Dynamic Desktop Remote Application Launcher and the injectable Java client and is available now from 1stWorks at $399/yr or as a bundle with Call Manager, our IP call center management module, and 10 Support Agent seats for $4995/yr.
