You can install the full hotComm product on more than one computer and put the same registration on all. However, you can log in to only one at a time.

You cannot copy a hotComm Lite registration to another computer. You must register each copy of hotComm Lite separately.

Registration File

To copy a hotComm registration from one computer to another:
  1. Install and register hotComm on the first computer.

  2. Install hotComm on the second computer, but do not register it.

  3. Copy the registration file from the first computer to the second computer. The registration file is: HCRG.DAT. It is located in: C:\Program Files\1stWorks\hotComm\CFG\.

  4. On the second computer, delete this file: C:\Program Files\1stWorks\hotComm\USR\NET.HCD. (This file is rebuilt the next time you start hotComm.)
Note: Be sure to repeat these steps whenever you apply an Unlock Code to register a purchase, so that all your installations use the same registration.

Peer List and other files
