Test hotComm Referer Weblinks

This tests whether your system can pass referer information through a weblink. The referer information may be required in order to connect to your room.

This test simulates the actual link used for the room you want to join. If you have problems with this link, you may have the same problems with the actual room link.

What is a referer? When you click a link on a website, the browser sends information to your destination site including the referer, or address of the website containing the link you clicked. Some firewalls or privacy software, modems and routers hide the referer information.

Step 1: Select a Relay and click OK.

What to Expect

If the weblink is successful, you connect to the TestJR Room. This is an empty room -- there is nothing going on! No audio, no charts, no chat -- it is simply a connection test.

You should NOT be asked for a password.

You should NOT get a "page not found" message.

You might get an error message.
